Sidra coffee

Sidra is Ecuador's showpiece variety, floral and tea-like, with a lineage that remains genuinely disputed.

It is variously described as a Bourbon–Typica cross and as Ethiopian-derived material that arrived through a research station; no account is settled. What is not disputed is the cup — jasmine, citrus blossom, tropical fruit and a syrupy sweetness — which is why it now commands the same shelf position as Gesha at many roasters.
